Robert Sippel comes back to Oz because he can't find anywhere else to sleep. Father Ray hires him to be his assistant, and Sippel's victim confronts him. Vern Schillinger, with help from Metzger, then crucifies Sippel to the gym floor.
Alvarez, under pressure from El Cid, cuts out Rivera's eyes. While the SORT team searches for him, it's determined there's only person in Oz who can save Rivera's life with a blood transfusion - Ryan O'Reily. O'Reily forces McManus to let his brother out of the hole in exchange for his blood, and Cyril comes to live with Ryan in Em City. Ryan also confesses to McManus that he had Cyril murder Preston Nathan.
Meanwhile, Alvarez festers with Father Ray until the SORT reaches him and he's thrown into solitary, just like his grandfather.
Keller gets out of the hole, but suddenly wants nothing to do with Beecher, who gets more depressed about this. Beecher is then escorted to the gym by Metzger, where Vern and Keller confront him and break his heart. Keller then breaks his arms, and Vern breaks his legs. McManus finally starts to question Metzger.
As Adebisi slips deeper into his friendship with Jarra and interest in his African heritage, Wangler gets annoyed and hooks up with Nappa, who orders him to kill Jarra. Wangler stabs Jarra, and Adebisi mourns him, but the hacks think Adebisi was the killer, so he is thrown in the psyche ward.
The governor decides to offer clemency to one Muslim in honor of Rhamadan, and tensions betweem them mount as they wait to hear who the lucky one will be. Said says he will accept it if it's offered, but when he is choosen, he publicly declines and humiliates the Governor on television. McManus is very proud of him, and all of Em City once again bows to Said.
Augustus, after talking about escape the whole episode, tells us it's better to stay put and deal, that there is no escape. He then climbs in a coffin to shuttle himself out of Oz.
