In the wake of Adrian's death, Madeline and Operations scramble to create an airtight cover-up by killing all the witnesses—including Nikita—before Oversight, in the form of George, destroys Section One in retribution. When Nikita survives the first attempt at silencing her, she and Birkoff set out to find Michael, who is being kept from Nikita by Madeline and Operations. However, when Nikita does, she is shocked to find him in the bosom of his family—his wife Elena and small son, Adam. Before she can get the truth from him, first they must ensure she survives her next mission.
